We tried out the Creative Writing or "Hidden Poetry" method that we learnt from Il Salone de Rifitutati in Potenza in a different context. The method that consisted to choose words from a text without reading its content and then to create a poem of it, seems to be an efficient method of creative learning within language courses as well. It enables learners to appropriate step by step a text in a playful, unconventional manner : Instead of reading a new text with plenty of new words in a traditional, linear way, learners get familiarized with the new vocabulary in a creative way. We have also tried out the method within French language courses with adults which seemed to be also efficient especially with people having less experience in conventional learning methods and who are not familiar with grammatical notions.
